Step MA – trend indicator based on MA
Step MA is a trend indicator, which is a modification of the Moving Average. In contrast to the Moving Average, Step MA superimposed on the graph as a stepped line, which also plays the role of support/resistance levels, and the signal line.
Characteristics of Step MA Indicator
Platform: Metatrader4
Currency pairs: Any currency pairs (recommended Major)
Trading Time: Around the clock
Timeframe: Any (recommended H1 and higher)
Settings of Step MA
Length – Volty Length
Kv – Sensivity Factor
StepSize – Constant Step Size (if need)
MA_Mode – Volty MA Mode: 0-SMA, 1-LWMA
Advance – Offset
Percentage – Percentage of Up/Down Moving
HighLow – High/Low Mode Switch (more sensitive)
ColorMode – Color Mode Switch
Using the Step MA in trade
Important: Do not use the indicator to trade alone. Its signals are in need of additional filters.
If the price has crossed the line of the Step MA Iidicator from the top down, we have a signal to open a Short position, if the bottom up – we open a Long position. Exit, when the price crosses the line of indicator in the opposite direction:
