Trading algorithm
The Invictus Gold EA trading algorithm is based on the standard Bollinger Bands indicator, which is a very effective trading tool in itself. It dynamically shows the overbought and oversold zones from which the EA trades. The Expert Advisor opens a short position when the second candle in a row breaks the upper boundary of the indicator. And similarly, it opens a long position when the price breaks the lower boundary of the Bollinger Bands indicator twice in a row. It should be noted that even if the price goes in the opposite direction, the Expert Advisor does not try to counter this by opening several positions in the previous direction with an increased lot (martingale method), which can be very dangerous. The Expert Advisor manages only one previously opened position and closes it at Stop Loss or runs it using Trailing Stop (if true) or closes it at the set Take Profit.

Besides, according to the developer, the Expert Advisor uses some kind of behavioral filter and supposedly studies “market psychology”, rather than relying on technical analysis, which is reduced to the Bollinger Bands indicator alone. But, in my opinion, the author is a bit deceitful here and this is nothing but a veiled marketing move based on the allegedly unprecedented property of the Expert Advisor. After all, Bollinger Bands alone may not be enough for an EA to sell well. And the role of this “behavioral filter” is played by the standard indicator ADX (Average Directional Movement Index), which helps to understand the direction of the main trend.
